Egeria najas is a great choice for an aquarium plant. Thin leaves are densely clustered around the stems of Egeria najas. Narrow leafed anacharis as it is sometimes called, is great for a background plant in the aquarium. Egeria najas is a good plant for beginners, and its rapid growth helps create a balance in the aquarium from the start. It can also help prevent algae because it absorbs a great number of nutrients from the water. The plant secretes antibiotic substances which can help prevent blue-green algae (a type of bacteria). A excellent oxygenator. 1 bunch supplied in ceramic ring Plants are incubated in a solution of 0.01% of the insecticide Buprafezin for one hour (Please do not just drop these in a shrimp tank or with any other crustacean.
